Managing Editor/Lead Reporter for Lana'i Today

The employee would work with a variety of contributing journalists and amateur writers to create a community newspaper. This role could develop a connection with Lanai High and Elementary School students to assist in writing, photography and layout work. The employee would set editorial standards and would coordinate the layout and production work with outside vendors. The employee would research and write articles. There are other duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in English or journalism; previous experience working for a print publication or digital media publication (Experience as a writer, editor or publisher is preferred); ability to work with computer software related to publishing Lana’i Today (Preference given to candidate with skill in coding language); able to supervise other staff and contractors; and other requirements.

Salary: $100,000 to $140,000 a year.
